Definitely wouldn’t want that guy p’d off at me! If I showed up to photograph this guy with my 300/4 ant 1.7X, I might think, “I’m gonna need a bigger lens….”
I wasn’t going any closer. I had a full frame body on a 500mm lens. No TC.

Not terrifying actually. The bears in that area simply ignore humans like they’re not there.
