Along with eagles and great horned owls, red-tailed hawks are one of my favorite raptors to photograph. Point Reyes is a good place to find them.

Awesome portrait with really nice light! It’s always fun to drive around the outer reaches of the park looking for raptors, but its not often that one poses like this for long enough to get glass on it!
Thanks Pat. I’m still looking for a good photo of a kestrel. Plenty of them out there, but they are really skittish.
