I photographed this wolf on a foggy morning a year ago at North Twin Lake.  It had killed a cow elk the night before.  The elk carcass is just outside the photo.

  1. This is so cool! What a beautiful animal! I like the setting with the grass and trees as well, it adds some nice environmental character to the scene. Nice detail in the shot too — how far away was the wolf? I’m really hoping to see a wolf during our trip, and I’m fully prepared for the sighting to be a small dot through binoculars 😉
